A. Raja is a DMK Lok Sabha MP from Nilgiris and former Union Telecom Minister who was at the centre of the 2G spectrum scam controversy. He was acquitted by the special CBI court in 2017 and the Supreme Court upheld his acquittal. He has since returned to active politics and won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Nilgiris for DMK.
