Pawan Kumar Chamling was Chief Minister of Sikkim for 24 consecutive years from 1994 to 2019, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister in Indian history. He transformed Sikkim into one of India's most developed and clean states and spearheaded its transition to organic farming. He now leads the Sikkim Democratic Front in opposition after losing all seats in 2024.
