Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the principal face of the Congress-led INDIA bloc. He won from Rae Bareli in the 2024 general elections after vacating the Wayanad seat for his sister Priyanka. His Bharat Jodo Yatra of 2022–23 revived grassroots Congress connect and is credited with the party's improved 2024 performance. He is widely projected as the INDIA bloc's prime ministerial candidate for 2029.
