Sambit Patra is a BJP Lok Sabha MP from Puri and one of the party's most recognizable national spokespersons. A surgeon by training who pivoted to politics, he served as BJP's chief TV spokesperson for nearly a decade and became known for his combative debating style. He won the Puri Lok Sabha seat in 2024 defeating Pinaki Misra of BJD, ending the latter's long run as Puri's MP.
