About
Samrat Choudhary is the Chief Minister of Bihar since April 2026, the first BJP Chief Minister of the state. A Koeri-Kushwaha OBC leader from Munger district, he served as Deputy CM under Nitish Kumar before being elevated after NDA's 2025 Bihar election victory. His educational qualifications have been publicly disputed, and political opponent Prashant Kishor alleged he misrepresented his age to escape trial in a 1995 Tarapur murder case — allegations Choudhary has firmly denied.
