About
Digvijaya Singh served as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for two consecutive terms from 1993 to 2003 — one of the state's longest-serving CMs. A Rajput politician from Raghogarh, he launched the 'Education Guarantee Scheme' — a landmark decentralised primary education initiative that provided schooling in every rural habitation and became a global model. After losing the 2003 election to BJP, he moved to national Congress politics. He is known for his outspoken anti-BJP commentary and remains one of the senior figures in Congress.
