About
Ram Nath Kovind was India's fourteenth President and the second Dalit to hold the office. Born in Paraunkh village, Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh, he worked as an advocate in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court before entering politics. He served as a Rajya Sabha MP and Governor of Bihar (2015–2017) before being elected President. During his tenure, he headed a High Level Committee on Simultaneous Elections (One Nation One Election) after leaving office.
